Ms. Sun Sarasochita said that the training course from June 22-24 aims to continue strengthening the knowledge and skills of gender focal points related to human rights, women’s rights, children’s rights, and the rights of people with disabilities, reducing all forms of discrimination, promoting social morality, the values ​​of women and the Khmer family, and preventing gender-based violence. She highlighted that strengthening the capacity of gender focal points is essential to promote gender mainstreaming at all levels and ensure the effective implementation of relevant policies.

Meanwhile, the participants also gained additional knowledge on the 12 key recommendations of Samdech Maha Bavorathi Hun Sen Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and the six-point recommendations of Her Excellency Dr. Pech Chanmonny Hun Manet, as well as leadership skills, influential speaking, negotiation, mediation, prevention and control of early marriage and teenage pregnancy, gender and climate change in the field of vocational training, as well as relevant national laws and policies.
