During the morning program, Dr. Kao Thach and the delegation visited the TP Kampong Thom catfish farm of Mr. Tan Vanna, the owner of the farm, located in Kampong Thom commune, Santuk district, Kampong Thom province, which has nearly 100 live fish ponds and can collect fish output between 15 and 20 tons per day, and is a large-scale catfish farm in Cambodia, to learn firsthand about the breeding process, production technical management, maintenance, cost control, and marketing.

On that occasion, Mr. Tan Vanna also informed the delegation about his ambition to expand fish ponds further to contribute to supplying the local live fish market and reducing imports from abroad.

The delegation then continued to the LCDC Eco Green duck farm, which has the slogan “Green Farm, Green Solution”, located in Stakstom Village, Thap commune, Santuk district, Kampong Thom province. This farm is a large-scale farm with approximately 20,000 laying hens, capable of supplying approximately 17,000 quality eggs to the local market per day.

In the afternoon program, Dr. and his delegation continued to Kampong Cham province to inspect the production chain of catfish breeding and the business operations of the catfish breeding farm owned by Mr. Huot Chai. The farm is an important fish breeding and supply center in Kampong Cham province, supplying quality fry to fish farmers in the province and other provinces.

On the occasion, the delegation learned in detail about the technical process of breeding tra fish, controlling the quality of fry to ensure a high survival rate, preparing a standard feeding and care system, and the logistics system. and product distribution channels to the market.
