Pursat: Under the great attention of the Royal Government of Cambodia, on June 28, 2026, a new school building with 5 rooms and equipped with sufficient facilities in the rooms, worth nearly 200,000 USD, was donated by Leader Energy through the Electricite du Cambodge team, located in Raingtil Primary School, Raingtil Village, Kandieng District, Pursat Province, and was officially inaugurated under the high chairmanship of Mr. Keo Rattanak, Minister of Mines and Energy and Chairman of the Royal Government Working Group to Help the Local Government of Pursat Province.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Khoy Rida, Governor of Pursat Provincial Government, Mr. Dato’ Sean, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Leader Energy, leaders of departments, organizations, territorial authorities, citizens and students in large numbers.
On that occasion, Mr. Keo Ratanak highlighted that the inauguration of the new school building coincides with the 75th anniversary of the birth of the Cambodian People’s Party (June 28, 1951 – June 28, 2026). We know that the Cambodian People’s Party emerged from the people’s struggle for independence, freedom, and prosperity. Through decades of hardship, the party has become an important leading force in the pursuit of peace and development. Under the wise leadership of the Prime Minister, the party has been actively promoting the education sector, considering that “knowledge is the key to national success and development.” The Minister expressed his deep gratitude to Leader Energy for not only sponsoring the construction of this modern school building, but also actively participating in building electricity in Cambodia. His Excellency recalled that Leader Energy has struggled and helped Cambodia from the bottom of its hands until Cambodia has reached a stage where we have 63% clean energy consumption, and the people of Raing Thi commune also benefit from this clean energy, just like our fellow citizens in the city.

The Minister emphasized the main objective of the grassroots support team, which is to give the children of fishermen in Raing Ti commune a bright future through a change in mindset. From a traditional fishing career for generations, to a focus on education, developing skills and knowledge to find better jobs and contribute to local economic development. His Excellency stated that the team will continue to care for and support the fishermen and their children.

Please note that this school building was built by Sakura Power Lines Co.,Ltd on an area of 1,387 square meters, with the building measuring 57.8 x 24 meters. Construction began on May 9, 2025 and was completed on May 15, 2026, with a total construction cost of $183,103.12 and a mitigation cost of $5,400.
