Phnom Penh: Mr. Keo Ratanak, Minister of Mines and Energy, said that from 2022 to early 2026, royalties from the mining sector will contribute nearly $40 million to the national budget, excluding taxes and other levies.

According to the Minister, the priority plan continues to be to create added value through the diversification of stone products, find additional overseas markets, and manage the sector by considering the environment, safety, benefits, and skills training for Cambodian workers.

Please note that sawn stone is a type of natural building stone that is cut from mountains or quarried from the ground in large blocks and then sawn and processed into sheets, slabs, or small pieces. This type of stone is widely used for construction, decoration, such as corollas, walls, and making furniture and sculptures.
