Phnom Penh: Cambodian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Mr. Khuon Phonrattanak, expressed his support for the benefits of Korea’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) projects in Cambodia focusing on food processing.
Khuon Phonrattanak’s expression of support was made during a courtesy visit by Mr. Hong Rada, Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Industry, Science and Innovation, and Mr. KIM Young Chan, Director of the Korea Food Research Institute.
 

On that occasion, Mr. KIM Young Chan took the opportunity to request the embassy to continue supporting and helping to promote the achievements and benefits of Korea’s ODA projects in Cambodia, especially the food processing project.
 

In response, the ambassador positively evaluated and expressed support for Korea’s aid projects, especially the food processing project, as it is the type of project that Cambodia is currently in dire need of.
 

Khuon Phonrattanak also committed to helping promote the achievements of Korea’s ODA projects to partners in future meetings. In addition, the ambassador also stated that Cambodia should be prepared for the trend of changing from traditional projects to modern technology projects, which are in high demand now and in the future.
 

Please note that Cambodia received the most Official Development Assistance (ODA) from Korea in 2025 among partner countries receiving ODA A total of 92 countries from the Republic of Korea, which is an important sign of the strong relationship between the two countries.
